March 4th Meeting - Audacity by Jane Neff and Skip Mundy

Description:
The March SMMUG meeting will be all about audio. There will be a brief presentation discussing the different types of audio files. The program Audacity will be presented as a tool to import sound using a USB turntable (vinyl record), a USB microphone and, time permitting, a tape player (old cassette tapes). Audacity is free, open source software for recording and editing sounds. Once the files are in a digital format, the program Audacity will be used to cleanup and make changes to an audio file. Time will be allocated to take questions from the audience during the presentation.

Our meetings are always the first Thursday of the month at the Senior Center auditorium, 1514 N. Hancock Ave., Colorado Springs.  Meetings are FREE and open to the public.
